Our Homes - An Extension of Who We Are

Hello out there!  Its almost Christmas and the sunshine here in Durban is beautiful today.  We've been inspired by so many things this year - eco-friendly homes, homes made from recyclable materials...  Another thing that has inspired us is how our homes are an extension of who we are.  What does your dream home look like?  How does it reflect who you are?

Here are some beautiful homes that we have found in our daily surfing of the internet.  What do you think these homes say about their owners?

Amazing homes, aren't they?  What does your dream home look like?

Intrigued by Green Architecture

Hello!  The rain has finally stopped here in Durban (for a little while, anyway)!  The rain has made everything look so green which quickly gets us thinking about the ever intriguing area of Green Architecture.

So just what is Green Architecture?  Wikipedia says, "Green building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. This practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort."

Here are some beautiful photos that we've recently found of amazing Green Architecture design.
