Container Homes
We've all seen them whether being pulled by a train or on board a ship - what we're inspired by at the moment are containers. They transport Chinese goods, grain, and textiles, but could they be used for construction as well?
Well, the answer is yes! New modern and eco-friendly homes are currently being created out of recycled containers. According to Brian Clark Howard at The Daily Green, "Shipping containers can be readily modified with a range of creature comforts and can be connected and stacked to create modular, efficient spaces for a fraction of the cost, labor, and resources of more conventional materials".
Still not sure quite how it would stack up? (That shameful pun was intended.)
